February Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back! We hope everyone had a well-earned rest over half-term. It’s been lovely hearing the children’s stories of exciting trips away and the fantastic activities they’ve been up to. Last term seemed to fly by, but we certainly packed in plenty of great moments!
On the last day of term, Badger Class gave a wonderful presentation to parents, rounding off an exciting week where they had been dissecting hearts in science. Other classes embraced outdoor learning with Forest School sessions, using tools and exploring nature. We also had cross-country successes, and even a bit of snow, which tied in perfectly with Fox Cubs’ learning about polar regions.
Some of our pupils had the incredible experience of performing on stage with the Core Dance Company, while others took over the airwaves, running the BBC Radio Leicester Breakfast Club for a week - sharing what makes life at Foxton so special. We also celebrated Chinese New Year with food tasting and activities. Meanwhile, our peer-mentoring programme is now up and running, with some of our eldest pupils proving to be fantastic role models for younger children.
