New Water Play Area
Dear Parents and Carers,
I’m delighted to share some fantastic news! Our brand-new water play equipment and loose parts area is now complete, and we are so excited for the children to begin exploring it. This project has been made possible thanks to part-funding from the East Midlands Railway Community Fund, whose support has enabled us to bring this exciting vision to life.
The new play area isn’t just about fun; it’s been designed to connect our children with local history and geography, reflecting our proximity to Foxton Locks and the canal system. The water play elements, including pumps and channels, will allow the children to work together, directing water flow and engaging in imaginative play that enhances their learning about these important local landmarks.
When will the children start using it?
Starting tomorrow, we will introduce each class to the area, explaining how to play safely, maintain the equipment, and take responsibility for keeping the area in good condition. This will help develop not only their teamwork and creativity but also their sense of responsibility for their school environment.
This playscape is a key part of our school’s strategy to promote active, outdoor play while supporting the well-being, development, and inclusion of all our students. It’s also an incredible resource for fostering creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction in a fun and engaging way.
We’re very excited about how this addition will enrich the children’s school experience, and we look forward to sharing many happy memories as they explore and enjoy this space.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best wishes,
Mr Norman
