I had planned to perform a collective acrostic poem celebrating autumn today, but the weather decided winter was here already, which is quite fitting since winter officially begins on 1st December. Instead, we performed a collective poem to mark the end of autumn! The pond and nature area is covered in ice, which meant that Lucas was able to spot an amazing paw print which we all got excited about. We photographed, measured, counted the toes and thought could it be a badger, hedgehog or even fox? ... It was a cat! We hope you enjoy our collective autumn poem:
All the leaves are falling: cold winter is coming,
Usually the days get cooler and darker,
The glistening snow will soon be falling,
Under the fallen leaves, animals hibernate,
Magical leaves are turning red, orange and yellow,
November is ending, winter is coming next.
