December Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
The lead-up to Christmas these past weeks has been nothing short of magical, with children and staff fully engaged in a range of festive activities and events. Our Fox Cubs and Rabbits delighted us all last week with two wonderful performances of their Christmas Nativity. Their singing, dancing, and speaking were exceptional, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. A special thank you goes to the FSA for the delicious mince pies and mulled wine, as well as to Mrs Hancock, Mrs Bellamy, Mrs Foster, Mr Cruickshank, Mrs Bratu, Mrs Smith, and Miss Kilby for their dedication during rehearsals and behind the scenes. As you can see from that long list of names, it really was a team effort!
Last Friday, which coincided with Christmas Jumper Day, the entire school came together for a fantastic Christmas dinner, served to the children by our staff and governors. This afternoon, we opened our doors for our first ever Christmas Decoration afternoon; it was great to see so many families (over 50!) attend and work alongside their children making a range of Christmas crafts.
Looking ahead, we’re eagerly anticipating a very special surprise visit from Father Christmas and his elves. Like last year, the children remain blissfully unaware, and we hope it brings a touch of extra magic during this final week of term. On Friday, we’re excited to return to Foxton Church for our annual carol service, beginning at 2pm. After the service, we’ll walk the children back to school and dismiss them early at around 3pm.
This term has been incredibly full, bringing its share of challenges along with its rewards. I’m deeply grateful for your unwavering support of our school, staff, and myself. Here at Foxton, we truly embody the spirit of “rising to the challenge.” On behalf of all of us, I wish you and your family a fantastic Christmas and a New Year filled with happiness and good health.
