Apart from Louisa, no-one has used their herbs yet.  Louisa had a go at a mint tea infusion, but didn’t really like it and doesn’t need it for indigestion, but well done for having a go.  This week we had a meeting to plan the rest of this term’s events and each child chose something. The rest of the session was devoted to leaves. We did make some artwork with leaves last week, but today we just collected as many as possible for the composter and the wormery.  They identified beech, sycamore and oak and we also got a chance to see how the worms were getting on.  They are still quite active, but once the weather gets cooler they will slow down. The leaf mould from last year has already made a lovely mulch for our fruit trees, so it will eventually all get used.
