Making a First Time Admission Application

This form can be downloaded from the Leicestershire County Council Website or you can fill in the online form.

You can get advice from the School Admissions Service on telephone: 0116 305 6684, e-mail admissions to and check out the Leicestershire County Council Website.

Information for Mid-Term (in year) Transfers

Applying online is by far the easiest way to make an application and has many benefits. It is safe and secure and you get an email confirming your submittal. You can complete your online application here.

Leicestershire County Council aims to process all mid-term applications within ten working days where ever possible, and will write to you to inform you of the outcome of your application. If you are successful the letter will inform you of what steps to take next. If you are unsuccessful you have the right to appeal. You appeal to admitting authority responsible for the school.

While a mid-term application is being processed you must ensure your child continues attending their current school unless this is physically impossible.

If your child has been refused a school place, you can appeal - click for details.
